Here at Avalon Park, we’ve been working on this project called “Operation Bedroll,” where you take used grocery bags, cut them a certain way, and then crochet them into a bedroll for someone experiencing homelessness.

Since it is plastic, the bedroll is lightweight, can get wet, won’t get bedbugs, and insulates them from the cold ground!
